Abletech is the FIRST Australian company to undergo manufacturer training for the StreamDP 3D Ground Penetrating Radar!
In January 2025, the Abletech team travelled to Italy for a unique opportunity to complete advanced training with IDS GeoRadar at their facility in Pisa,
Over five days, we took part in in-depth training covering all aspects of Ground Penetrating Radar, from how the equipment is built and tested, to advanced data processing and software development. We also had the chance to meet the engineers behind the technology and see firsthand how the systems we use in Australia are designed.
It was a valuable experience that gave us a deeper understanding of the equipment that support our Ground Penetrating Radar services.
Beyond the Training
Outside of training, we were lucky to experience Italian culture and hospitality.
We enjoyed local food, wine, cured meats and cheeses, shared meals with our hosts, and explored the historic streets of Pisa.
From early-morning coffees at local cafés to evening dinners in traditional restaurants, the trip offered a great balance of learning and cultural experience.
During the trip, we also visited Florence and Rome, taking in their famous architecture, art and iconic landmarks. We then travelled to the medieval village of Vicopisano, with its stone towers, narrow streets and fortress walls, offering a real insight into traditional Tuscan life.
These cultural experiences added another layer to the journey and made the trip truly memorable for the whole team.
What Is StreamDP Ground Penetrating Radar?
